Here is what some people are saying about our show with Sunset Rubdown...

"Parenthetical Girls was supposed to open for Sunset Rubdown, but there
was a last minute (very appreciated) switch to Thomas Francis Takes His
Chances. Their lack of MySpace friends (they have 795) is not at all
indicative of their awesomeness: the eight band members drunkenly
performed their hearts out. The female lead singer sounded like a fancy
little combination of Joanna Newsom and Lovefoxxx of CSS, and the male
lead screamer/moaner assumed the supplementary role of percussively
banging random shit together."
Genna Cherichello from Bi-College News Online

"Oh, and the show opening band Thomas Francis Takes his Chances, a NJ band who were a last-minute fill-in after Parenthetical Girls canceled, did a very good job, even if they screamed through much of their set and ended up dancing near me during Spencer's songs, quite clearly drunk. But they were actually quite original, which is a good thing."
Bill Elenbark of Vague Space

"Thomas Francis Takes His Chances - This wonderfully weird New Jersey band just opened for Sunset Rubdown at the First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia and they assure me that their going to start taking themselves seriously. I hope they do because they are an exciting musical feast. Jarring dystopian lyrics and a lot of really interesting production design make them a unique offering indeed. A little early Modest Mouse, a little Devendra Banhart, a little Captain Beefheart, a lot of fun" Scout from Film Punk
